As of March 2023, the recipe for our classic Pepsi in cans and bottles has changed. The new formula now contains a lower amount of sugar with a blend of sweeteners to maintain the Pepsi taste people expect.

We have updated the nutritional information on the packaging disclosing the reduced sugar content.

There is no change to Diet Pepsi or Pepsi MAX.

 

  1. How has the recipe changed?
    We have reduced the amount of sugar and used a blend of sweeteners to maintain the Pepsi taste people expect.
     
  2. How much sugar does the new classic Pepsi contain?
    The new formula contains 4.55 grams of sugar per 100ml.
     
  3. How many calories does classic Pepsi contain now?
    The new formula contains 59 calories per 330ml Serving (equivalent to a single can).
     
  4. Will it taste different?
    We have worked hard to make sure our new classic Pepsi maintains the great taste that people expect while removing sugar and calories.
     
  5. When will I be able to buy the new classic Pepsi?
    It will be available to buy from mid-March 2023 onwards.
     
  6. Can I still get the old classic Pepsi? Will it be on a shelf or available online?
    he new recipe will replace the old classic Pepsi in cans and bottles, starting from this month. However, classic Pepsi is still available in a number of out-of-home locations such as pubs and quick-service restaurants.
     
  7. What does the new recipe contain/what are the sweeteners?
    In addition to a lower amount of sugar, the reformulated Pepsi is sweetened with a blend of acesulfame potassium (Ace K) and sucralose, with 56% fewer calories from added sugars.

Our entire range is suitable for vegetarian and vegan diets, apart from Diet Pepsi which isn’t suitable for vegans.

We don't manufacture products specifically for such diets, our products in their sold states do not hold a recognised certification of conformity. We do not actively seek out information from our ingredients suppliers regarding their suitability for Halal or Kosher diets, however if this is provided by the supplier we will keep this data on file.

The Pepsi range are all non-alcoholic soft drinks. We do not add alcohol to our Pepsi drinks.

The Pepsi range contain low levels of caffeine but for those trying to avoid it completely, give Pepsi MAX No Caffeine or Diet Pepsi Caffeine Free a try.

Unfortunately not, our Pepsi Spire machines with flavour shots have been made for consumers to have a unique Pepsi experience which they can create themselves whilst having a meal with family and friends. These flavours aren’t available in bottles or cans at the moment but give Pepsi MAX Cherry, Raspberry or Lime a try!
